Something tells me—likely my own experience—that one has to have escaped from the planetary pull of the modern Democrat ideology, the “tribe,” to understand what Bobby is saying. It requires stepping away from that monster in order to see how it has morphed into something unrecognizable from that party some of us grew up in (I’m 67, so not far from Bobby’s age). I hear many otherwise intelligent commentators, who remain entrenched in that party, entirely unable to hear what is being said about the party’s shift, and I can only think that there’s a kind of veil, thick and dark, that prevents any fathoming of this truth that seems so clear to me and to so many others who until recent years, identified with the Dems.
